Robert Jaworski - folk instruments and contemporary reconstructions of ancient instruments (hurdy-gurdy, renaissance fiddle, lute, flute, bagpipes, viol) plus “overdriven calf/bull-like vocals” and “unnaturally loud convulsions” ;-)
This wild child of rock’n’roll also goes under the aliases of Roberto Delira, Liroj, The Hurdy-Gurdy Fiend, Baldy, Troll, Turol – and is a huge fan of medieval times, folk art and… old motorcycles.
He has been diagnosed with the incurable illness of “being madly in love with Nordic music”.
Hedningarna is my mother, Garmarna is my sister, Hoven-Droven is my brother, Gåte is my girlfriend. In short: a seriously musically-addicted fosterling of the Nordic giants.

Planeta brzuch

Iza Byra - enchanted emanations of the female throat, plus shakers and other rhythmical oddities.
A humble girl from Bieliny with the nature of a venomous “ambientwoman”. In two shakes of a lamb’s tail she can disentangle the meaning of any “folk hardcore” and beguile even the toughest of lads with her poisonously sweet vocals. This qualified Lady Veterinarian spends her days applying her skills in order to prevent the demise of the last of her cats, which she mercilessly “injects” with her vocal experiments…

Since august 2008 on maternity leave.

Pozdrawiam. Iza.

Robert „Dusky” Wasilewski - lute, “dark vocals” and bass guitar.
The “father of the band”, also known as Scary Wasyl or The Warsaw Strummer. A legendary figure of the Polish folk scene, and an as yet unfulfilled “metal gloom-child”.
An “Overbass Slavonic Space Filler” and an eternally insatiable, “highly fertile” poet of the “neo-folk dark wave”.

Anucha Piotrowska
- vocals and djembe.
“Atomic vixen” and “she-bird”. The offspring of audio-rhythmical experiments, and descended from the line of Leszek and Sława from Lublin. An unruly Lady Indologist who has been hurtling around the stage for years like a marionette hooked on the Żywiołak vibe. Attempts to cut her strings usually end in disaster. Long May She Live!!!

Maciek „Smoky” Dymek - bass-drum, cymbal, percussion and percussionalia.
A tubthumper from Rzeszów ;-) A character who can unite fans with one magical blow from his percussive wand. Joined Żywiołak in June 2007. He’s up to the job!

Monika SadkowskaMonika Sadkowska "Mosad" - vocals and maracas.
Joined the band in August 2008. A “professional elemental” or monstress with high levels of pent-up energy, who liberates her creative potential through independent music and theatre.

Agnieszka Biniek Agnieszka Biniek - violin, alto violin, vocals.
A “guest artist”, aka “Żywiołak’s concert first aid” ;-) In reality, this damn talented lass from the Katowice Jazz Faculty is constantly struggling with her eternal dilemma: “to learn to play, or to play, or maybe to sing?” Her life is a series of tricky choices ;-)
